10:53 AM || Eargasm: Ronan Keating & Leann Rimes - Last Thing On My Mind

Eingang = German for Entrance
I figured that college is pretty much like the entrance to the real world. It's where we grow to be independent, learn how to make and keep real friends, manage expenses and bills, get back on track with good ol' study habits, and for some of us, get the first taste of a real long-distance relationship. So this layout perfectly suits this time period when everyone is moving out of dear Cerritos and moving into, and entering, their first year of college life. I'm scared because I know we probably won't keep in touch even after those countless "keep in touch" messages in those yearbook inserts. But I guess there's also a satisfaction in knowing that I know who my real friends are (or at least I'm pretty sure I know) and they are the ones I will make the biggest effort to keep in touch with. *Sigh. So long Class of '04. As we near our departures, may I wish you all the best of luck in all your future endeavors. Just remember to always follow your heart and chase your dreams. That's one I never cease to forget.

So what's been going on with me? Well, working at Blockbuster has been taking up most of my time, yet I can't complain because I absolutely love working there. Sure, there's the occasional customer who whines and complains that they did return the movies on time even when the computer shows that they returned it 2 days late, but mostly, the atmosphere of the store keeps me lovin' every minute of it. It's great to be able to see a couple familiar faces each day, to catch up with customers to see if they liked the movies you yourself recommended, and to win the employee contest on who can sell the most Movie Passes every week. Yea, so if you're not doing anything and feel up to watching a movie, come visit me at the South & Carmenita Blockbuster! It'll make me very happy! :D

UCLA Orientation was in late July, and I have to say that I'm really excited for freshman year! I met a lot of great people, my roomies were social and friendly (one of them even had a Sex and the City showing in our room the 2nd night), the professors and Deans made all the lectures/workshops fun (not to mention very informative), food was BOMB (I'm sure to get Freshman 50 this year with the top-rated dorm food), the Scavenger Hunt all over campus/Westwood gave me a good workout, and even getting 3rd place in the pool/billiards tournament they were having! I love the whole feel of the residence halls, community bathrooms & all (even though one of the girls accidentally walked in on me showering but good thing I had already wrapped my towel around me.) The only thing I regret was not going to the Harold & Kumar free screening because Berry and I were way too tired to walk there. Haha. But all in all, it was a great way to get introduced to the school, its traditions, and its people. I got all the classes I wanted & signed up for a few clubs as well. UCLA, here I come!

My best buddy & boyfriend Jason and I have been spending a lot of time together before I leave for college next month. Although there are the occasional stupid arguments we might fall into, our relationship couldn't be better. It's been 6 months and still growing stronger. His family has opened up to me and I'm really happy about that. I love him for all the little things he does and for the person he is. *Mwah* Love ya sweetie.

I've been going through phases (as Jason calls it.) Last month, I was in the book/magazine phase, and now, I am in the handmade bags/purses phase. Found lots of websites where creative and talented girls sew really cute purses. I'm thinking that I'll reward myself once a month (if I'm good and keep up with my studies that is) with one of them adorable purses. I'll show you pictures next time.

Anyway, this is getting all too long and I bet nobody even read up to the second paragraph. Haha. I'm gonna go and watch an episode of The Sopranos! Arivadeci!
