11:54 PM || What a CRAZY day! First off, I wanna start by wishing Catherine Leo a HAPPY HAPPY 17th BiRTHDAY! Hope you had a fun day with your friends, cause we definitely had a great time celebrating with you! Now onto the adventure.
The Raid; Last night, I decided to sleep over at Stephanie's house since we had to be awake by 4am anyway to raid Cat for her birthday. We had a good 2 and a half hours to waste, so we watched Not Another Teen Movie, which, I must admit, was pretty gay but still entertaining. Then at 4:20, Howie and Jay came to pick us up, and off we were to Shadow Park. OHMYGOODNESS. You would not believe what we had to go through just to get inside the park. At first, Jessica told me to tell the guard that Sarah Kang left a note to the guard to give him permission to let us in through the gate. So we told the guard, but he said that he didn't get any note from anyone. So Howie, being the truthful guy that he is, tells the guard, "We're here for Catherine Leo's birthday, and we're supposed to meet at the park" but the guard just continues to shake his head and tells us that nobody's supposed to be at the park. Since we were the first ones there, we parked in the front, waited until the others came, and finally got in! We found out that the guard had been joking with us, and that he had the note all along! He just wanted to see how long we'd wait and how many fake excuses we were gonna use up. LOL! At least Howie was the only one being honest. [Good job Howie!] We all met up at the tennis courts and waited until 5am, because that's when Catherine's mom said that we could come and raid her. The people there were me, Jay, Howie, Brian, Howard, Kevin, Tina, Gloria, Jessica, Sarah, Liz, Stephanie, Sandra and Judy. Quite the bunch we were! =) So we finally got into Cat's house, sneaked up around her, and then raided her until she smelled so bad nobody wanted to hug her anymore and was so marked up that she looked like a crayola poster. It was so much fun! Judy put all this ketchup in Cat's hair that it stunk up the room like crazy! Haha! I told you Judy was the evil one! Mwahaha. We mde her wear this fanny pack, wear toe socks on one foot with flip flops on, and hold a Windex in one hand. She still looked beautiful though even after all that ugly stuff. Haha. Afterwards, we left her house and drove to Denny's to get some breakfast. We're like pusoy freaks or something! Wherever we go, we're playing pusoy or doing something with cards. LOL! Damn no-lives. Haha just kidding. *wink* After eating, we blindfolded Catherine and went to Brian's house for a little surprise. Brian has a slide that leads into his pool, so we thought it'd be funny to have Cat go down that instead of just pushing her into the water. Cat was totally hesitating to go down there, but Judy and her acting skills convinced Cat to go for it. It was so hilarious when she fell into the water! Her face expressions! Haha! At least I captured it on camera. ;D
Swimming; After Brian's house, the girls wanted to go swimming at Shadow, so Steph took me home to get my stuff, waited until it was 8am so we could go get a card for Cat since we were in charge of it, but found out that nothing was opened. So we just went to Shadow to go swimming with the girls. Tina, Catherine, Sarah, Jessica, and I went swimming, but Sandra, Gloria, and Stephanie just bummed around. They wanted to play Chicken Fight or whatever that's called, but since I can't swim well [yes i know, deprived child], I ended up not playing. The teams were Catherine & Jess vs. Tina & Sarah. It was hilarious watching Tina's facial expressions 'cause it looked like she was having so much trouble carrying Sarah or something! HAHA! It was just a funny-you-had-to-be-there kinda thing so yea. Steph and Sandra know what I'm talking about. LOL. Cat & Jess kept winning so yea, no fun. Haha. Then we played Marco Polo, and Tina and I kept finding each other so it was weird! Haha. They couldn't go in the deep end or else I would drown so yea. Hehe. Then, we just hung around in the jacuzzi and talked about girly stuff. Good times with the ladies.
Shopping; I went home and rested around 9:30am, and slept for a couple of hours since we hadn't gotten any sleep the night before. Then, Jay picked me up so that we could go to the mall to go shopping. I ended up getting a shirt from Aeropostale and jean shorts from PacSun, all for $30. Good deals. I wanted to buy SO much stuff but I didn't wanna spend all my money on needless items. So once I start work again next next week, maybe I'll have enough money to buy all that stuff. After shopping, we dropped by 7-11 to get us some free slurpees [since it's 7/11 today] and then just went to his house to chill.
Roscoe's; I got a call from the girls to let me know about dinner plans at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles up in Compton, so Jay and I picked up Howie & Steph and drove to Cat's house to meet up with everyone. The same people were there from this morning, with the addition of Brandon Arita, Daniel Wu, and Jason Choi. We drove over, but got lost because the directions were inaccurate, so we got there a lot later than planned. But it was cool cause everyone else got lost too. Haha. We felt so out of place, having like, 20 Asian kids in a predominantly Black area. LOL! But it was cool cause they made us all feel very welcome. We had to wait for the last car to arrive, because Catherine was in it, so when she came, everyone was happy cause we all wanted to order already. Mostly everyone ordered chicken and waffles, with side orders like greens, mac & cheese, and grits [which were all pretty good]. Thank goodness I shared with Jay cause I couldn't even finish MY share of the meal. The chicken was all smothered in gravy, and they packed up the butter in the waffles like crazy. But it was all good, cause the food was really good! Best chicken I ever ate probably. And waffles! It just sucks cause I probably gained like 10 pounds today from all that food. Haha. Now I gotta pump up the exercise! Hehe. Then, the waitress brought Cat a cake, and then started singing like a diva! Haha. Everyone in the restaurant was watching and listening to her. She was really good! The funniest part was when she was saying Catherine's name, and she said Caroline! Then we corrected her, and she said Kathleen or something. OMG that was SO hilarious! Everyone was cracking up, but we clapped and stuff cause she was really good and so friendly and all. Then, Howie, Jay, Sandra, and I left early because we had to go, so we took pictures, said our goodbyes, and went home.
The Present; Last year, this gold dress came out at Windsor for $300, and Catherine really wanted it but there was only one more that was her size, so Sarah Chang's mom bought it, and the girls paid her back. Some of the girls hid the dress in Catherine's closet after Brian's house, so after swimming and trying to lag forever, Catherine saw the dress and I heard that she nearly had a heart attack or something! LOL! But that's a good thing though. We practically had to hide the secret for like a year! Haha. Cat's such an awesome person, and you can tell just from today that she's loved by so many. So many of her friends came to celebrate the day with her cause she's just so cool! She really deserves so much credit for everything she's done for our class and for everyone, so I think buying the dress for her was a good investment. Yay! Hope you like it Cat! You better wear it to Prom next year or else. Hehe. =D
Overall, had a GREAT day hanging out with everyone and getting to celebrate Catherine's birthday with her. I LOVE YOU MOMMA! Now, I think I am in need of some major sleep. G'night!
