11:45 PM || YAY!* The court appearance went so much better than I thought it would. I was expecting like a court room like the ones they have in Judge Judy or something of the sort, but to my surprise, it was just a small room with a bunch of chairs where they stuff as many people as they can inside. I came there and waited in this other room for like an hour and a half, and met a guy named Cesar who was 15 and also had a ticket for 'driving without a license.' But his was worse because the police officer pulled him over for not wearing a seatbelt and for making a wrong left turn, and found out he didn't have a license, so he got his car impounded and everything. But then I found out that the other guys in the room also got their cars impounded. So I got off really lucky. Then finally when it was time for the judge to hear our cases, he put like 5 of us all being charged with the same violation, which by the way, I was the only non-Mexican and non-male there, and basically just wanted to know if the violation was true or not. Then he made us promise that we weren't gonna drive without a permit/license. He also said we just had to pay a fine of $320 by April 21st, and that we didn't have to go to traffic school or anything like that. The funny thing was that when I was going to the parking lot, that Cesar guy came out of the driver's side of his HUGE truck to ask what had happened to me. HAHA! And the judge thought that he had his word on not driving illegally anymore .. LOL! And also, there was a 12 year old kid who was caught driving without a license! He looked like he was 8 years old, so obviously he didn't look old enough to drive. 12 YEARS OLD! So surprising how early kids drive these days. So my worries about that is over. *whew; big sigh of relief*

New York is next Saturday! How exciting! I really can't wait any longer. The main reason why I wanted to join MUN was because I really wanted to travel to places I probably would never visit on my own. New York doesn't sound so extravagant to many of you, but to me, that's like WOW! Hehehe .. yeah .. pathetic how the only times I've traveled out of California was to go to Las Vegas, Arizona [Grand Canyon], and Utah [Hoover Dam.] I really need to get out more. I want to travel to every continent before I get married. Or better yet, all the locations on my "dream vacations" list. Oh man that would be so great. Oh well, a girl can dream! =)
