10:00 PM || Everything just seems to get better and better these days. *smile* Earlier last week, I found out that I was chosen as one of the five nominees for Girls' State, a program where 540 Californian junior girls meet to learn more about government and leadership kinda stuff. The five girls were chosen by a panel of administrators and faculty at our school. The other four girls are Anisha Sakariya, Diane Padre, Catherine Leo, and Nisha Bansal. Today we had our individual interviews with the representatives from Girls' State, so that they can tell us who from the five is going to be chosen as the delegate from our school, and also the two alternates. My interview was so fun! The ladies were so incredibly nice and sincere. Some of the questions they asked were kinda hard to answer, especially because I'm not an expert at thinking quickly and responding in an articulate manner. Sadly, I didn't get chosen as either the delegate or one of the two alternates. But it's ALL GOOD because I feel so privileged and honored to have been nominated out of all the talented junior girls at our school! Congratulations to Anisha for getting chosen as the delegate, and to Nisha and Diane for getting alternates! Haha me and Catherine, we're the rejects. LOL. x)

This week I've spent quite some time with Jay. It's been so long since we just hung out, mainly because I have work everyday after school until 6. We just bummed around, oftentimes doing nothing except to sit in silence and appreciate the moment. But the feeling that he is there, that his presence is with me, is all so comforting in itself. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, that one day when you can clearly distinguish between lovers and friends. I think Jay and I plan to go simple -- dinner and a movie. And maybe some skating (@ Skate Depot that is!) thrown in there. Hahaha ;D I haven't skated in so long! Fun stuff! Ohana is slowly evaporating into thin air. The four of us -- Edward, Josie, Victor, and I -- haven't hung out altogether in quite some time now if I can recall. It's always just three of us that can make it; always Josie, Joanna, and either one of the boys. But it's still fun! Yet I'd much rather prefer having the company of all three, most definitely. Have a wonderful end of the week you guys! Happy Valentine's Day! xOxO <3
