7:43 PM || Due to writer’s block, I’ll do some more Topics Blog questions.
Do you prefer solitude or the company of others? [edward’s pick]
Good question. It really depends on the mood I am in. Most of the time, I’d much rather have the company of others because it livens things up. I’m home alone a lot of the time, and I always find myself calling people just to see if anyone else is as bored as I am and might want to go out. However, seclusion can be a good thing, especially when I have a lot of things going on in my mind and any unnecessary commotion will do nothing except to make things worse. I like to isolate myself from others when I just want to relax and forget about all my worries. Other than that, I’d rather prefer bonding with close friends over anything. x]
What qualities do you look for in friends? [george & josie’s picks]
I don’t necessarily have a checklist of characteristic traits that I look for in friends, but there are some that I think all of my friends have. They have to be open-minded to new ideas. I think narrow-minded people are so ignorant and stubborn that it gets so d.mn difficult to try to talk to them. It’s like, you bring up a new idea and the next thing you know, they are completely disagreeing with everything you have to say even before you can say it, simply because they don’t like it. I think one of the most attractive qualities in a person is when you can talk to them forever and still find more things to talk about. Intellect is also a really good quality in a friend. I’m not saying the person has to be a genius, but lack of common sense or just plain stupidity pisses the heck out of me. Especially when they are smart-alecky and think that everything they say is right. The ability to discern between right and wrong makes for a good friend, because he/she will be able to guide and lead you into the right direction. I look for friends who are positive role models and are optimistic about their direction in life. I don’t want to be around someone who’s always gonna wonder “if only this, if only that,” because all that’s gonna do is influence me to become like that. I’d rather have an optimistic and carefree person who will encourage and motivate me to pursue my goals and dreams. And the last thing is that they have to be goodhearted people with good intentions. ;)
