2:42 PM || tonight is diana's cotillion! yay i'm excited! :D so many people have been asking me if i was gonna have one when i turn 18, but i thought of so many reasons why i shouldn't have one. catherine was like, "if you don't wanna plan it, i'll plan it for you! then i can be like the wedding cotillion planner!" LOL she's so silly. well if i really think about it, i think it would be really nice to have one. but my reasons for not having one are [1] it's too expensive; on average, most decent cotillions/debuts cost a total of 5-15 thousand dollars (spend on dresses, tuxes, dj's, food, invitations, programs, etc.) [2] my 18th birthday is in november, which means that college apps are gonna be taking place [3] i have 2 younger sisters, which means that if i have one, they're gonna want one too, which then adds to our finances [4] my family/relatives are all in the philippines, and it would be WAY too expensive to bring them all here just to celebrate one birthday [5] my parents want me to have it in the philippines, which is a lot of trouble because then i'm gonna have to go there all the time to plan&prepare [6] i wouldn't want to go through all the trouble of planning & investing so much time & money just for one night. (even though catherine fully volunteered to take the position of a "cotillion planner." so i think my reasons are good reasons to not have a cotillion/debut. anyway, i'm so excited for diana! she's been planning hers since forever, and i can't wait to see how it all comes together. pammy is gonna be performing too! hehe as a matter of fact, i'm quite nervous for her! but more for diana of course cause i know how much time&effort she's spent towards this, and how much this means to her. davi and i have been struggling to come up with what we're gonna wear. LOL. i think we're both gonna wear a skirt & a nice top. well i'm gonna keep myself busy til then. go sign the guestbook so i know there's people who actually read this! ;P bYe! i will blog later about the cotillion. ;D
