3:14 PM || randomness || i was thinking about the people who impress me the most, and i realized something. it is not who they are that impresses me, but rather with what they mean to me. there's so many people in our society who live their lives trying to impress other people by acting in ways that they believe would be "impressive." however, if you really think about the ones who impress you, they are the ones who are able to touch something real and genuine within you. for example, the best teachers are not those who impose their knowledge, but those who infect students with a passion for learning. they seek to bring out the best in their students, and consequently, the students also see the best in the teacher. so instead of trying to impress a certain someone so he/she can find you attractive, you should learn how to bring out the best in him/her. work to genuinely bring out the best in others, and they'll certainly see the best in you.
